The first Camp phase

The homestay in a german familiy

Normally your host family welcomeed you at the arrival airport and took you to their homes. In some cases we arranged a transfer with an other family.

You lived with your host parents in their family home. You took part of the family life and normaly they arranged some activities with you depending on their resources and personal circumstances. They respect your nutritional demands (at least vegetarian) and your health conditions.

Depending on their age and that of other familiy members the guests may join sports activities and school visits sometimes in connection with other host families.

Camp stay -

Changing Energy Supply and Sustainability

Your host parents brought you to the camp location at the Youth-Hostel Duisburg Sportpark where we had a get together event.

On sunday we started with a big round of introduction for presentating yourself and get to know each other. This was accompanied and guided by a trainer and coach. During your camp stay you had the opportunity to give a presentation about your country and the special conditions of living. Please prepare a short Powerpoint presentation.

We had some different teaching and discussion rounds and gave you the opportunity to learn about your personality characteristics with a psychological tool for personality analysis (Structogram).

In the Sportpark you found many training possibilities.

During several excursions we visited the main cities Düsseldorf, Cologne and Bonn. Another part was waterskiing, canooing and swimming.

These actions were sponsored, organized and accompanied by several Lions Clubs who organised  and arranged the events.

You will be the future ambassadors of liberty, peace and freedom.
